Payday loans are GREAT if they are used sparingly in only during financial emergencies. If this is your case, then consider if you can in fact afford a payday loan.

How much are you going to get? Payday loans should never be more than 40% of your net monthly salary. If you're earning $1000 monthly in take home pay, do you really need $400 now? Why not just $200? The higher the amount, the MORE you need to pay, the LESS your living allowance will be next month. If you get $400 now and the finance fee is $20 for each $100 borrowed, this means you need to pay the lender $480 next month. If you deduct this from your $1000 net pay, can you really live on just $520 for one whole month? No? What will you do then? If your answer is to get another pay day loan or to roll over your current cash loan, then you are already headed for trouble.
